Cancellation & Refund Policy – Traveguru


At Traveguru, we value every guest who chooses to travel with us and understand that sometimes, plans may change unexpectedly. Our Cancellation & Refund Policy is designed to maintain transparency while balancing the interests of our travelers and our operational commitments in the Andaman Islands.

By booking with us, you agree to the following terms regarding cancellations and refunds.


1. Cancellation by Traveler


If you wish to cancel your booking, you must notify us in writing via email (infotraveguru@gmail.com) or WhatsApp/phone (+91 9332021969). The applicable cancellation charges are as follows:

  • 30 days or more before arrival: 90% refund of the package cost (10% retained as a service fee).

  • 15–29 days before arrival: 75% refund of the package cost.

  • 7–14 days before arrival: 50% refund of the package cost.

  • Less than 7 days before arrival or no-show: 100% of the package cost will be charged, and no refund will be provided.

Note: Refunds apply only to services booked directly through Traveguru. Services involving third-party vendors (hotels, ferries, cruises, activity operators) may follow stricter non-refundable conditions.


2. Cancellation by Traveguru


In rare cases, Traveguru may need to cancel bookings due to operational, safety, or government-related reasons. In such situations, you will receive:

  • A full refund for the unutilized portion of your booking, OR

  • An option to accept alternative arrangements of equal value (subject to your choice).

Traveguru’s liability is limited to the refund of services booked with us and does not cover indirect expenses such as airfare, visa charges, or personal costs.


3. Amendments & Rescheduling


  • Requests to change travel dates, hotels, or activities will be considered based on availability and may involve additional costs.

  • Amendments requested within 7 days of travel cannot be guaranteed.

  • Ferry and cruise tickets, once issued, are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable due to operator policies.



4. Non-Refundable Services


Certain services are non-refundable under all circumstances, including:

  • Government ferry tickets and private cruise bookings once issued.

  • Hotel stays during peak season (Christmas, New Year, long weekends, or festival periods).

  • Adventure and water activity bookings (scuba diving, sea walking, parasailing, etc.) confirmed with third-party operators.

  • Last-minute cancellations made within 24 hours of service.



5. Force Majeure (Events Beyond Our Control)


Traveguru shall not be held responsible for cancellations or unutilized services caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural calamities (cyclones, heavy rains, earthquakes).

  • Political unrest, government regulations, or strikes.

  • Technical failures or transport disruptions (flight delays, ferry cancellations, roadblocks).

In such cases, Traveguru will make all reasonable efforts to provide alternative solutions. Refunds, if any, will depend on third-party vendor policies and cannot be guaranteed.


6. Refund Process


  • All refund requests must be submitted in writing via email.

  • Refunds will be processed within 10–15 working days from the date of cancellation confirmation.

  • Refunds will be credited to the original mode of payment (bank transfer, UPI, card, etc.).

  • Service fees, bank charges, and GST collected are non-refundable.



7. Responsibility of Travelers


To ensure a smooth process, travelers are requested to:

  • Provide accurate booking details at the time of reservation.

  • Be punctual for transfers, ferries, and scheduled activities. Delays caused by the traveler will not qualify for refunds.

  • Follow all safety guidelines during adventure and water activities.
